A small piece of Hoth

I was having so much fun with building the two Speeder Bikes I showed before, that I was on the look for other vehicles to build. For sure, there are a lot of nice vehicles to build from the Star Wars galaxy, but the most are not all that easy to build for an amateur toy maker like me. I did not know where to start until I found a post on my favorite forum, The Imperial Shipyards, with a Rebel Tram form Echo Base on Hoth build by the forum member CustomJedi. I knew I could build this one! So I did!

Hoth is a desolate world covered with ice and snow, located in the Anoat sector, a rarely-traveled portion of the Outer Rim Territories, it became famous as the one-time location of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Echo Baseduring the Galactic Civil War. The base was discovered by the Empire in 3 ABY, precipitating the Battle of Hoth, a major engagement during which the Rebels suffered heavy casualties and lost Echo Base.

Untill then Echo Base was a Rebel Alliance facility with at its height, the base housed 7,500 combat and command personnel, 350 medical personnel and 120 droids. The hangar was large enough to simultaneously house at least thirty GR-75 medium transports, sixty Rebel starfighters, twelve snowspeeders, the Millennium Falcon and the Outride.

All that personnel could make use of internal transport like this nise little tram, that could move around 8 persons and a driver at ones. It also could be used to transport several goods.

As you can see I also build a X-Wing pilot and a Hoth ground trooper.
